TariffShark Tiger SP3 R5.3.1 now available

TariffShark Tiger SP3 R5.3.1 now available

As previously communicated, on September 06, 2024 FERC posted a Notice of Change to Implementation Date for Revisions to eTariff re Electronic Tariff Filings under RM01-5  (Notice). The notice extends the release date to 11/25/2024 and advises that another notice is forthcoming (on or around Sep 30) which details new filing types and new validation error codes.

Release 5.3.1 is now available which extends the original 9/30/2024 date for customers already running Release 5.3.

After the 9/30/2024 FERC notice, Links will enhance TariffShark Tiger to accommodate the new filing types and validation error codes (Release 5.3.2). We will make this release available as soon as possible.

All current customers using TariffShark Tiger must update the version they are currently using before 11/25/2024 to generate acceptable XML for submission to FERC.

  • Customers that have installed TariffShark Tiger SP3 will need to install the update (which is only the TariffShark Database Installer).
    • Enterprise customers will need to run the database installer which updates the Lead Applicant effective date to 11/25/2024.
    • Hosted customers will have updates installed automatically by Links.
  • Customers not running TariffShark Tiger SP3 should not upgrade until release 5.3.2 is available.
Updated FERC notice of revision to eTariff

Updated FERC notice of revision to eTariff

On 09/06/2024 FERC posted a Notice of Change to Implementation Date for Revisions to eTariff re Electronic Tariff Filings under RM01-5  (Notice). The notice extends the release date to 11/25/2024 and advises that another notice is forthcoming (on or around 9/30) which details new filing types and new validation error codes.

Links Technology is aware of the changes and is currently working towards extending the original 9/30/2024 date for customers already running Release 5.3. This will be Release 5.3.1 and will be available shortly.

After the 9/30/2024 notice, Links will enhance TariffShark Tiger to accommodate the new filing types and validation error codes (Release 5.3.2). We will make this release available just as soon as possible.

All current customers using TariffShark Tiger must update the version they are currently using before 11/25/2024 to generate acceptable XML for submission to FERC.

  • For TariffShark Tiger customers who have not already upgraded to Release 5.3, Links does not recommend upgrading at this time. We recommend waiting for Release 5.3.2.
  • Enterprise customers who have installed Release 5.3 will need to install Release 5.3.1 to extend past the original 9/30/2024 date and later install Release 5.3.2 with the new filing types & validation error codes.
  • Hosted customers who have installed Release 5.3 have no action to take at this time (the changes contained in FERC’s latest notice affect only the hosted TariffShark components, so we will install Release 5.3.1 as soon as it is available). Until FERC issues the 9/30 notice, we won’t know if the changes in Release 5.3.2 will affect the TariffShark client software.
